BAFFL 2007 Rules of Play
Overview
No divisions. 1 Auction.
No head to Head competition.
1. Objective
Score as many points as possible each week.
Based on ending scores each week, teams will be awarded points (1-10 points in a ten team league for example).
The highest scoring team each week gets 1 point, 2nd highest scoring team gets 2 points, etc.
Lowest accumulated score at the end of the season wins. Similar to golf's format.
2. Auctions
There will be 1 Auction held this season.
Auction Day is Sunday September 2, 2007 @ 3pm.
Instead of individual players we will be going with a team concept in regards to scoring. The scoring opportunities
will be outlined below.
Through the Auction each team will have a total of $100 to purchase the following:
1 each NFL Offense
1 each NFL Defense
1 each Passing Offense
1 each Rushing Offense
1 each Recieving Offense
1 each Kicking Offense
3. Lineup Submission
With only one selection per category there will be no need to send in a weekly lineup.
Your lineup will simply speak for itself. Should one or more of your roster spots be off
due to a bye week you may elect to have their previous week's score rollover or you may
drop them and sign another to take their spot. No team components will be reserved due
to bye weeks.
4.Free Agent Team Signings
Each week you may drop and sign new Offenses, Defenses and Offensive Components. Once an Offense
or Defense or Offensive Component is dropped they go into the Free Agent Team pool and may be selected
by another team the following week.
Only one BAFFL team will be able to own any one particular NFL Offense, Defense or Offensive component
at any given time.
Free Agents will be awarded to the highest bidder in a silent auction format.
Please send in your Free Agent bids, payable in real dollars via email by Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.
Each Offense, Defense and Offensive Component will be awarded to the highest bidder.
For each bid you must submit a minimum AND maximum bid in case 2 or more bids match. If the max bids also match
then the team with the worst record will be awarded their requested selection.
You may bid for as many Free Agents as you wish each week but please be explicit if there are conditional bids i.e.:
If you only want this component if that component was taken by a higher bidder etc. Be as expilcit as possible to avoid
any confusion.
All Free Agent bids must meet the $10 minimum.
5. Salary Cap & Trades
Once the Auction is over there will be no salary cap in effect.
Absolutely NO TRADING of Offenses, Defenses and Offensive Components will be allowed at any time.
6. Weekly Games
Each week each owner's 6 component team will compete to score the most possible points.
